One billion dollars and two years of construction allowed Westfield to expand the Century City mall to 1.3 million square feet. The space was designed to be more seductive, communal, inviting, and easy-going. The refreshed space includes shopping, a gym, medical and health clinics, restaurants and bars, a movie theater with virtual-reality entertainment, and a supermarket.
Designed to encouraging shoppers to relax and spend more time in the space. DDS provided stone stools and limestone tile from Africa, China, and Portugal. Additionally, over 40 custom encaustic tiles were developed and installed throughout the project. A classic American tile was used to build a radial fountain at the center of the development.
